AMD announces the arrival of the Ryzen 4000s by the end of 2020

AMD will launch the Ryzen 4000 CPUs by the end of 2020. Engraved in 7nm, this new generation of processors is based on the Zen 3 architecture. During the conference, AMD also teased future CPUs based on  Zen 4 architecture and engraved in 5nm.

On March 5 "Financial Analyst Day", AMD announced the release of the Ryzen 4000s, successors to the current Ryzen 3000s, for the end of the year.  The founder will once again rely on the 7 nm engraving of TSMC.  The 7nm EUV engraving is not yet yet.

Unsurprisingly, AMD abandoned the Zen 2 architecture, at the heart of its current lineup, and opted for the Zen 3 architecture. The transition to a new architecture is accompanied by a performance gain.  The latest news is that the founder expects a higher number of cores, a 17% increase in the IPC, a 50% increase in floating point operations and a more comfortable cache.

At the end of 2020, AMD will also market new Epic processors under Zen 3. AMD announced the arrival of processors based on the Zen 4 architecture and 5nm engraving.  Expected by the end of 2021 or even early 2022, these future CPUs should allow AMD to nibble Intel's market share in the processor sector dedicated to office automation.

It is rumored that Apple wants to integrate AMD CPUs in its future Macs. We’ll tell you more about the duel between Intel and AMD as soon as possible.
